Agria Subsidiary PGG Wrightson Announces Commerce Commission Investigation Update

HONG KONG—August 4, 2015 -- Agria Corporation (NYSE: GRO) (the "Company" or "Agria") today announced that its New Zealand-listed subsidiary, PGG Wrightson Limited (NZSE: PGW) ("PGW"), confirms that the New Zealand Commerce Commission (the “Commission”) has filed court proceedings in relation to allegations of price fixing by PGW’s livestock division in connection with the implementation of the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012 (“NAIT”).

 

PGW has cooperated fully with the Commission in its investigations in relation to the matter and is maintaining an ongoing dialogue in relation to the concerns raised about NAIT-related fees. 

 
Given that this case is now before the courts, PGW cannot comment further at this time.
