China has the largest sheep flock in the world with over 170 million heads. Livestock market in China is supported with large demand and strong growth in meet consumption, but the quality of China sheep flock is relatively low and poor. Agria has developed right products to meet this demand. Our sheep breeding business consists of producing and selling frozen semen, embryos, breeder sheep and Primalights III hybrid sheep at five breeding bases. We currently offer 34 sheep breeding products.


Frozen semen: Our frozen sheep semen products are primarily used for artificial insemination to produce breeder sheep or sheep for mutton or wool.

Frozen embryo: Our sheep embryo products are primarily used for embryo transplants to produce breeder sheep or sheep for mutton or wool.

Breeder sheep: Amongst our over 6,100 breeder sheep are Poll Dorset, Suffolk, Texel, Merino, Dorper and domestic, small-tailed Han sheep. We also have over 900 goats, foreign pure bred Boer goats and domestic.

Prima III Hybrid Sheep: We also have over 9,700 Primalights III hybrid sheep, a crossbreed between foreign and domestic. Our Primalights III hybrid sheep have a high reproductive capability and good local adaptability and are used by local farmers to improve their mutton and production yields.
